Speaker: Rob Richards
Start time: Wednesday @ 10:15
Duration: 1 hour
Talk synopsis: From financial transactions to legal documents, the use of XML to store and exchange data increases every day. The XML Encryption (XMLENC) and XML Digital Signatures (XMLDSIG) specifications were developed to provide standard ways of protecting XML data and eliminate many of the interoperability problems that occur between platforms and applications. This presentation will examine these technologies and demonstrate how they can be leveraged, through the use of PHP 5, to implement them in a REST-based Web service or when consuming a SOAP service implementing WS-Security.
