Speaker: Elliott White III
Start time: Friday @ 11:15
Duration: 1 hour
Talk synopsis: PHP and relational databases are generally coupled very tightly. Some environments, however, are void of database technology. Whether it's inexpensive hosting, or a client's desktop computer, sometimes you simply can't count on the availability of a database.

In this talk, Eli White covers a few alternatives to the standard database, such as: the filesystem, XML, serializing and writing directly to PHP files.
