php|works and db|works make up our sixth conference, and the third in our hometown of Toronto, Canada.
Every one of our conferences revolves around PHP and one or more technologies that are having a particularly significant impact on its usage and adoption in the enterprise space. For this year's fall conference, we have chosen databases, an area of PHP development that, in the past year, has seen a flurry of enhancements and new technologies introduced specifically to pair the PHP language with some of the best-known enterprise-level database systems—as well as some "classic" ones that have been supported almost from the very beginning.
Most importantly, databases have turned out to be the gateway for PHP's recognition in the enterprise space, with some significant commercial vendors investing significant resources in making sure that their products work well with PHP.
Like all of our conferences, php|works and db|works will feature a selection of highly-renowned PHP and database experts—who will present a good mix of theoretical and practical sessions, including our popular Bring Your Own Laptop tracks, where you can work on practical problems with world-class PHP experts.
